Executive Committee

The Bristol Centre for Medieval Studies (Bristol CMS) is run by an Executive Committee of staff and postgraduate students. This year, we are delighted to welcome Professor Benjamin Pohl as our new Co-Director of the CMS. Ben is taking over from Professor Ad Putter, who is stepping down after seven years as Co-Director.

“Having been an active CMS member for ten years, I’m very excited, and honoured, to be taking on its Directorship alongside my colleague Tristan. With the Arts and Humanities increasingly under threat globally, showcasing Bristol’s world-class centre of medievalists from across academic disciplines is more important than ever.”
